GKE WORLD-CLASS LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION
World-class
Language instruction is pivotal to international collaboration.
GKE supports the imperative of human knowledge, fully accessible
to all cultures, and the growth of international learning
interactions. The emerging technologies in multimedia, the
reach of open source opportunities in xml, and the global
nature of the Internet, itself, will be challenged to create
global learning places and the unimpeded communication that
world-class language instruction can facilitate.
In conjunction
with projects such as GS21, GKE membership opportunities,
and the Global University projects, the GKE Foundation will
stimulate the creation of a comprehensive program of multimedia
instruction based on the latest US Department of Education
standards for foreign language learning in the 21st century.
Sooner or later, they'll be eaten away by
the moss
or effaced by the wind and rain.
But for now, my poems have been cut in stone.
